With Bowness Bay only a 5 minute stroll away from Beechwood, Windermere steam ferries offer numerous cruises on Lake Windermere. Boats can also be hired hourly or daily.





For the more active visitor, Beechwood is the ideal starting point for fell walking and sightseeing. Fishing is available at Esthwaite Water near Hawkshead and horse riding can be arranged locally.




Windermere Golf Course is only a short distance from Beechwood, offering year round play on a perfect course. Courses are also situated at Kendal, Keswick and Grange.
