BEECHWOOD GUEST HOUSE BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Thank you for choosing Beechwood Guest for your stay in the Lake District. By making a booking to stay with us, you are entering a legal contract that is subject to the following terms and conditions:

PRICES

Our prices indicated on our website are per room per night and include full English breakfast and VAT.

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE TIMES

Arrival: Check-in time on your first day is from 3 pm – 7 pm unless otherwise pre-arranged. Departure: We kindly request that you vacate your room by 10 am to allow us time to prepare for our next guests. The balance amount of your booking is payable on departure by credit/debit card, cash or by one of our popular Gift Vouchers.

CHILDREN

We regret that we do not accommodate anyone under the age of 18 years.

MOBILITY

We are very sorry to say that the Beechwood is a Victorian building and is therefore not suitable for wheelchair users. Please see our Accessibility page for further information.

DOGS AND PETS

We are very sorry but no pets are of any kind can be accommodated at Beechwood Guest House.

SMOKING

It is against the law to smoke anywhere inside the guest house. Any guests failing to comply will be subject to a £100 fine to cover necessary cleaning costs.

RESERVATION PAYMENTS

Reservations must be secured by a deposit payment equivalent to the fist night’s stay per room. Balance is payable upon arrival/departure. Please note that all deposits are non-refundable and all prices include breakfast and VAT. We accept cash and most credit/debit cards.

CANCELLATION, CURTAILMENT AND POSTPONEMENT

We respectfully remind guests that a reservation constitutes a contract and that cancellations cause loss to small establishments. We advise guests to take adequate holiday insurance to cover any losses. Holiday insurance: For inexpensive holiday insurance (UK only) please go to Guest First website. Cancellation: A deposit equivalent to your first night’s stay is required to confirm your booking. Please note that this is non-refundable. If you need to cancel your booking, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can attempt to re-let the room. 
We reserve the right to charge the full amount due in the event of a late cancellation
within 10 days (before noon) of the day of your arrival where we are unable to re-let the room(s). Curtailment: If you have to curtail your booking in advance of, or during your stay, you will still be liable for the full outstanding balance. Non-Arrivals: Should you fail to arrive without letting us know, there will be a charge for the full outstanding balance. Postponements: If you need to postpone your booking, please give us a much notice as possible so that we can try to re-let your room. We will be happy to transfer your non-refundable deposit to a new booking.

GIFT VOUCHERS

Beechwood Gift Vouchers may be used to secure a booking.

NON-AVAILABILITY OF ACCOMMODATION

We would only cancel your booking if your room was unavailable for reasons beyond our control.

DURING YOUR STAY

Our aim is to offer all our guests a relaxing and tranquil stay and we kindly ask guests to respect the quiet enjoyment and relaxation of other guests. Housekeeping: We carry out our housekeeping and room cleaning between 10 am to 12 pm each day and will require access to your room during this time. If you are planning on being out during these hours, please let us know when we can have access. Visitors to rooms: Guests are not permitted to have visitors to their rooms without our prior agreement. Accidents happen: Please let us know immediately of any damage or spillage so that we can attempt a speedy repair or clean. Spillages are more easily rectified the sooner they are dealt with. Any significant breakage or damage may result in a charge for replacement, repair or specialist cleaning. If the damage means the room cannot be made available in good time for the next arriving guests, you may also be liable for our loss of income. Missing / Lost items: Any item taken from the rooms without our consent will be charged for. Lost keys, or keys not returned, will incur a £50 charge. Liability: We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves.
